Dean Ambrose: The Million Dollar Man Didn't Get What He Wanted

Dean Ambrose delivers some final words for the WWE Universe.

In an interview with Michael Cole prior to The Shield's "Final Chapter" special on Sunday night, Dean Ambrose let everyone know that he's walking away on his own terms.

"I don't appreciate people putting words in my mouth and I don't appreciate people trying to tell the story of my life to fit their narrative," said Ambrose. "Eight years ago, I walked into this casino. Now, I'm cashing in my chips, I'm walking away from the table. I won the game. What I do with the rest of my life, from here on out, is my business. I answer to no one. This time, the million dollar man didn't get what he wanted. Because I can't be bought."

Ambrose quickly left the scene of the interview after his speech, wanting to prepare for his "final chapter."

The Lunatic Fringe wrestled his last match in the company on Sunday, teaming with Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins to defeat Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, & Drew McIntyre. It was reported in January that Ambrose would leave WWE when his contract expired in April. WWE has been pushing Ambrose's final appearances dating back to Fastlane on Feb. 22, which was billed as "The Shield's last ride."
