Shane McMahon's Son Declan On Potential WWE Future: Down The Road, Who Knows?

Declan McMahon, the son of Shane McMahon, has committed to playing football at Indiana as a walk-on.

Declan is a 6-foot, 190-pound wildcat quarterback who plays at Poly Prep Country Day High School. McMahon said he received the offer to walk-on last month and said he also was offered opportunities to play at Duke, Rutgers, Fordham and East Carolina.

While Declan is currently focused on his football career, while speaking to the Indy Star, he was asked about a potential future in wrestling.

"I've tried it in my house," McMahon said. "I have two younger brothers, so if we're joking around I'll pick them up and throw them on the couch. I'm going in with the mindset that I'll cross that bridge when we get there. So right now no plans yet, but down the road, who knows? If I have to jump off a cage like my father, maybe that's what I'll do."

Shane last wrestled at WWE Royal Rumble, competing in the men's Royal Rumble match. He was reportedly planned for WWE Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania, but was "quietly let go" by WWE. You can learn more about the situation by clicking here.
