Deonna Purrazzo Released By WWE, Comments On It, Notes She's Been Struggling

NXT cuts have started, with a young indie vet in Deonna Purrazzo being cut.

Purrazzo was brought into WWE in 2018, effectively removing her from the planned All In PPV. Before that, she'd competed in TNA, Ring of Honor, and various other promotions during her brief but packed career. Fightful had heard she'd grown creatively frustrated over the past year. Outside of the Mae Young Classic, she was 0-20 on WWE TV throughout her career.

Purrazzo commented on the release on Twitter.

Deonna last appeared on last week's WWE Raw, where she was squashed by a returning Nia Jax. Prior to her singing with WWE she was figured heavily into Women of Honor plans, but opted to sign with WWE, where she'd end up on the NXT brand. However, her run there was inconsistent, as a planned tag team with real-life friend Chelsea Green were nixed. She'd spend the last few months jumping between Raw and NXT.
