Deonna Purrazzo Shares That Thunder Rosa Suggested Casket Match & Hair vs. Hair Stipulation For Their Feud In AEW/ROH

Several match pitches were suggested by Thunder Rosa.

On the newest episode of Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo’s Boots To Boots podcast, Purrazzo recounted two match ideas that Thunder Rosa presented to her while they were feuding in AEW/ROH.

Rosa wanted to do a Casket match, but Purrazzo was firmly against that. Rosa also suggested a Hair versus Hair match, but Purrazzo was only game under the condition that she was winning.

“A match that I wouldn’t do? Thunder Rosa wanted our last match in a feud to be a Casket match, and she had asked me, ‘Can I pitch doing a Casket match?’ And I was like, ‘Abso-f*cking-lutely not.’ I’m claustrophobic, I have such bad anxiety and panic, and my worst fear in life is death… Thunder asked me like three times and I finally looked at her and I was like, ‘If you pitch that behind my back, I will legit f*cking fight you. The answer is no and we will have a real f*cking problem if I show up to TV and it’s advertised that I’m in a Casket match.’” Purrazzo laughed. “The other thing she pitched… I would do, but I could not lose is a Hair versus Hair. She notoriously wants to do a Hair versus Hair match — Thunder Rosa — I don’t know (if she wants to win or lose), but I basically said to her, ‘I’m down to do that,’ and obviously, it fits her whole personality. That’s such a historic match in Mexican culture, but like, not for me, and I will not be shaving my head.” Purrazzo continued, “‘Yeah, I’m down to do that but, I will not show up and then be the loser. Because I’ll leave.’”

Purrazzo is the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion. She’s been the champion since winning the inaugural tournament at Final Battle 2025.
