SRS: Derrick Lewis Once Beat Up A WWE Spirit Squad Member While His Pants Fell Down, Told Crowd To Suck It

Derrick Lewis: hot balls since 2010.

Many crossover fans didn't know who Derrick Lewis was before UFC 229. The promo heard 'round the world: his balls was hot. This really wasn't anything new for Lewis, though.

Here at Fightful, we cover the crossover between pro wrestling and MMA, and wouldn't be doing things the right way if we didn't alert wrestling fans of a nice little nugget from Lewis' career. He beat up a member of the 2006 WWE World Tag Team Champion Spirit Squad. Yep.

Nick Mitchell is still just 35 years old. When he was on WWE's main roster in 2006, he was just 23. A young pup who made his presence known (kind of) on the 2004 iteration of Tough Enough. Mitchell would be the first contestant eliminated from the show, but still signed with WWE under a developmental deal. It didn't take him long to reach the main roster.

Mitchell didn't exactly wrestle a lot -- cagematch has him listed at under 50 matches. However, He competed against the likes of Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Edge, John Cena, Kane and the Big Show on their way to a lengthy Tag Team Title run. Not bad for one year.

"Mitch," as he was called (Nic Nemeth, aka Dolph Ziggler already had "Nicky",) was released months after being taken off WWE TV and decided to

Nick Mitchell's MMA debut isn't actually listed online anywhere, but he actually won a fight in 2009 at Coushatta Casino. MMA record keepers have never exactly been the best, but Fightful was able to track down video of the bout.

For his second fight, why not give the former WWE name a debuting fighter? Seems the safe, sensible approach, right?! That debuting fighter was Lewis, the same Lewis who will compete for the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Daniel Cormier at UFC 230.

A much leaner, younger Lewis pressed the action early, but got taken down by Mitchell and was mounted. Mitchell was able to take Lewis' back and work his hooks in. He couldn't retain control over "da Black Beast," and ate a series of knees. A visibly tired Mitchell threw a naked leg kick and was countered, and the round ended before he could take more damage.

A somewhat hilarious slip n' slide scenario opened the second round, and led to Mitchell briefly taking Lewis down. His undoing in the first round was his undoing in the second, as Lewis connected with a nasty knee and stuffed a takedown.

At this point, Derrick Lewis' pants fell down, ass flapping in the wind. With his trousers around his thighs and balls likely ablaze, Lewis threw heavy ground and pound to gain the TKO win. He also jumped on top of the cage with his pants still down. Sometime before the fight decision was read, the pants were returned around his waist. Lewis would respond to a booing crowd with a "suck it" gesture, one all too familiar to Nick Mitchell.

Derrick Lewis has been a dangerous fighter since the start, or so it would appear, even when his testicles are overheated.. Don't feel bad for Nick Mitchell. He'd go on to date Torrie Wilson for a while. We reached out to Mitchell to gain quotes for this story, but didn't hear back.
