Three New Matches Announced For Battle Slam The Takeover

Battle Slam returns.

Battle Slam announced its third event, Takeover, will take place on July 28. The event will be held at The Oasis Event Center in Atlanta, GA.

Battle Slam combines the world of hip hop and pro wrestling.

It has been announced that as part of this event, qualifying matches will take place to determine entry into an upcoming World Championship Tournament. So far, Richard King, Lee Moriarty, and JDX have qualified.

On July 10, Battle Slam announced the first World Championship Tournament Qualifier bout between KC Navarro and Leon Ruff.

On July 11, Alan Angels vs. Shoot Taylor was announced as a World Championship Tournament Qualifying bout.

Queen Aminata vs. Robyn Renegade was added on July 12.

On July 13, Caprice Coleman vs. Richard King was announced.

In a tweet on July 26, Battle Slam announced that the date for Takeover has been moved to August 7. The reasoning behind the change is currently unclear.

On July 27, Battle Slam announced two more matches for the show. AEW's Anthony Ogogo will face Kevin Knight, and Myron Reed will take on Shoot Taylor in a World Championship Tournament Qualifier. Previously, Taylor was scheduled to face Alan Angels.

On July 28, Battle Slam announced two new world championship qualifers as well as a new tag bout.

The last Battle Slam event featured a performance by Lil Scrappy, who also got physical as he hit a Rock Bottom on Baron Black.
