Diamond Diamond Page: We Don't Want Anyone Killed, But We Want A War

Diamond Dallas Page is ready for the Wednesday Night War.

On Oct. 2, the Wednesday Night War officially begins as All Elite Wrestling premieres on TNT. The show will run up against NXT, which is set to air on USA Network during the same 8 to 10 p.m. ET timeslot. Diamond Dallas Page was a featured player in WCW during the Monday Night War against WWE, and he is ready for the 2019 version between NXT and AEW.

“Hell yeah, everybody always wants war. We don’t want anybody to get killed, but they want war,” Page told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “When there’s no competition, things (and) fans get dull. When wrestling really works is when you blur the lines and reality — you don’t know what is reality,”

Page isn't technically associated with AEW or NXT, but he did make an appearance at AEW All Out on Aug. 31. Page was part of the group who accompanied Cody Rhodes to the ring for his match against Shawn Spears. Ultimately, Cody sent DDP to the back, deciding to keep MJF as his one cornerman.

DDP also helped out with All In in 2018, working the show for free and delivering a Diamond Cutter.
