#DIY Wants A Second Match With The Street Profits, And They Hope It’ll Be For WWE Tag Team Titles
#DIY wants the second round with higher stakes.
Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, The Street Profits, defeated Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa on the August 16 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown to earn a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. They will challenge Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga for the gold on August 23, and #DIY was quick to call dibs on a rematch that they hope will be for the championship belts they lost to Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
Johnny and Tommaso interrupted the victory promo from The Street Profits and B-Fab on the August 16 edition of WWE SmackDown LowDown to wish them luck in their championship match and put them on notice.
“I don’t mean to interrupt. Boys, that was a hell of a match tonight. Congratulations on round one,” said Ciampa. “That was round one, but next week, good luck with The Bloodline. Y’all take those titles, and we do this for round two; we put the titles on the line.”
Johnny Gargano previously spoke about how much it meant to lose the titles in his hometown of Cleveland. Read his comments here.
