It's been over a decade since John Cena fully portrayed the "Doctor of Thuganomics" gimmick on WWE television, but the 16-time world champion busted it out for a new promo....kind of.
Cena is highlighted in a Nickeolodeon Kids' Choice Awards commercial that features the platinum selling rapper/wrestler remixing his "My Time is Now" theme song to fit the awards show. There's plenty of slime talk....and stuff.
It features hot rhymes like "hardy har har, the night is all ours," and "did you ever think I'd slime a cow? Kids' Choice Awards, our slime is now."
John Cena's first and only album "You Can't See Me" released in May 2005, and would go on to sell over 1.35 million units. It reached #15 on the US Billboard 200 charts and sold 40,000 copies in it's first week.
