Dominik Mysterio Confirms He Was Dealing With A Real Rib Injury
Dominik Mysterio was scheduled to face AJ Styles at WWE Night of Champions, but the match was canceled the week of the event.
It was revealed that Dominik was not cleared to compete, though some fans speculated that the injury was a work to move the match off of the Saudi Arabia event.
Speaking to Jeff Teague on Club 520, Dominik confirmed the injury was real.
“I dislocated my two lower ribs. They were digging into my cartilage. That’s why I was hurt. Everyone thought I was faking it, but I was actually hurt,” he said.
After weeks of being stalked by Styles, Dominik eventually got cleared, and the match for the WWE Intercontinental Title will take place at WWE SummerSlam.
