Dominik Mysterio On Possibly Facing Rey Mysterio In AAA: It Would Be A Humongous Deal
Dominik Mysterio continues to taunt his father.
Later this month, ‘Dirty Dom’ will compete in a four-way match with El Hijo del Vikingo, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano at AAA TripleMania XXXIII. Vikingo’s AAA Mega Championship will be on the line during the match.
Speaking with Busted Open Radio for a new interview, Mysterio used his early AAA success to taunt his father Rey.
“He’s never been in the title picture when it comes to AAA, here I am in my first appearance with AAA, I’m going for the Mega Championship.”
Later on in the interview, Dominik was asked about possibly facing Rey Mysterio in AAA at some point.
“It would be a humongous deal. I don’t see why not. If I become the Mega Champion for AAA, I don’t see why my father, the leprechaun, shouldn’t be coming down to me and begging for a title shot. He’s been hurt with his injury since WrestleMania. If he wants to come back and I’m the Mega Champion and the Intercontinental Champion as well, he has never fought for that title when it comes to the Mega Championship for AAA. So, if I get my hands on it, I’m sure he’s going to want to put his name in the history books but he’s got to go through me, the greatest Mysterio of all time.”
Rey Mysterio last wrestled for AAA back in 2018, facing Jeff Jarrett and Rey Wagner in a triple threat match.
