Don Callis discusses Kazuchika Okada and Kyle Fletcher’s relationship ahead of their triple threat title match at AEW All In.
At the pay-per-view later today, Kazuchika Okada and Kyle Fletcher will meet in a triple threat match that will also feature Konosuke Takeshita, with Fletcher set to defend his International title in the bout. Despite Fletcher and Okada having tension in recent weeks despite being Don Callis Family members, Callis feels Okada will continue to support Kyle in the future.
While speaking to TMZ Sports in a new interview, Don Callis spoke about the pair’s relationship, noting that Okada will continue to support Fletcher ‘tomorrow, next year and into the future.’
“I’ll tell you how (Kazuchika) Okada feels. Okada understands, Okada is at a different stage in his career than Kyle. Okada has been IWGP Champion, he’s been International Champion, he’s been Continental Champion. Okada now loves being a part of something. He loves being a part of the family. This is a guy who moved from Japan to New York City, to the USA, didn’t speak any English and now through the help of The Don Callis Family his English is incredible, and he’s accomplishing incredible things. When Wayne Gretzky went from the Edmonton Oilers to the LA Kings, he’d already set all the scoring records. Now he wanted to be a part of something, he wanted to be a part of a fabric in Los Angeles, he wanted to grow the league. Okada is a builder, not everyone has the same goals all the time. So, I think Okada will be great supporting Kyle now, tomorrow, next year, and into the future.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Callis spoke about Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega’s upcoming World Title bout main event at All In. You can read more about that here.
