Donovan Dijak Says He Couldn’t Ask For A Better Tag Team Partner Than Bishop Dyer In MLW

Donovan Dijak talks about forming the new Skyscrapers tag team in MLW with Bishop Dyer, formerly known as Baron Corbin.

Currently, Dijak and Dyer are the Major League Wrestling World Tag Team Champions. They won those championships at MLW Summer of the Beasts by defeating Los Depredadores (Magnus & Rugido) in New York City. Standing tall at 6′7″ and 6′8″, respectively, the Skyscrapers are a throwback to the days when big men dominated professional wrestling. In fact, even their name is a throwback to a WCW tag team that included the likes of Dan Spivey, Sid Vicious, and even The Undertaker.

Speaking about the tag team while appearing on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Donovan Dijak told Jeremy Lambert and SP3 that the idea for the team was a shared vision between Saint Laurent and Court Bauer. He also spoke about how happy he is to be teaming up with Dyer, someone he has known for a long time.

“The design of the team boils down to MSL and Court Bauer. Shoutout to them for having the vision and the opportunity to make the concept a reality. I’m all for it. I’ve known Bishop for a long time. He’s a tremendous human being and an unbelievable competitor. Very legitimate background in a number of different circumstances. I couldn’t ask for anybody else who is of similar stature to me to be able to team with. We’re 1-0 as a team with a major championship under our belt and it’s going to continue to trend in that direction. He’s an unbelievable competitor, as am I, and we both have our sights set on continuing to impress everybody throughout wrestling.”

In the past, Dijak has said that he would like to see his tag team partner get a run in CMLL in Mexico. Read more about that here.

The Skyscrapers will be part of MLW Fightland on September 13. The event will stream live on MLW’s YouTube channel. Learn more about that event here.
