Doug Williams Cancels September Bookings Due To Shoulder Injury

In a tweet on September 5, the veteran announced that he has canceled all of his bookings for the month due to a shoulder injury. He apologized and noted that while he wouldn't have taken this course of action in the past, he is prioritizing his health now.

As of this writing, Williams' most recent match was on August 28; on the pre-show for NWA 74 Night Two, he faced Rhett Titus in a Submission Match. In another tweet, he noted that Dr. Tom Pritchard complimented him during the NWA television tapings after the pay-per-view, so he was at least present for those. Otherwise, he remains active in the European wrestling scene.

Williams recently held the NWA World Tag Team Championship with Harry Smith; the duo won the titles by defeating La Rebelion at NWA Alwayz Ready. They relinquished the titles ahead of NWA 74 because Smith came down with an illness.
