Dragon Lee Doesn’t Know How Long He’ll Be Out With Thumb Injury: “I Don’t Wanna Get Surgery”
Dragon Lee’s thumb injury put him on the shelf.
Dragon Lee was advertised to be competing in a Triple Threat qualifying match for a spot in the AAA Latin American Championship Fatal 4-Way at Triplemanía 34.
Lee would reveal that due to a thumb injury, officially diagnosed as a collateral ligament tear, he was no longer able to compete.
Lee provided an update on his status when he appeared on Notsam Wrestling Live. He does not know how long he’ll be out and does not want surgery.
“My last match. That was on TV… When I came back to my locker room, my finger was swollen, and I couldn’t move and I was like, ‘I don’t know what’s happened.’ It’s happened many times in wrestling. But the doctor, he touched me and he told me, ‘Can you move like this?’ ‘Yes.’ He touched me and, ‘Ah! It’s painful.’ I got an X-ray; it’s okay, and then MRI… I have a tear… Damn, I wanted to wrestle… I don’t know for how (much) time I’m gonna be out but, I don’t wanna get surgery… It’s gonna get surgery and I’m gonna stop for three, four months and I don’t want that. They told me with this one, maybe I probably will wrestle. It’s fine.” Lee continued, “Hopefully they let me wrestle.”
Lee was last in action on the 7/20 Monday Night Raw, during which he teamed with Je’Von Evans to take on The Vision (Bron Breakker & Austin Theory).
