After a series of discussions, Shimizu has formally requested to be allowed to step away from competition for the remainder of 2025. Updates on his return will be shared when available.

In 2024, the promotion suspended Shimizu for a suspected contract violation.

Shimizu has been a part of Dragongate since the beginning of his in-ring career in 2013. He is a six-time Open The Twin Gate Champion and a four-time Open The Triangle Gate Champion.
