Drew Galloway Talks About His TNA Contract Status; Is A Return To WWE In The Works?

Former TNA Champion Drew Galloway recently spoke with the Dirty Sheets Podcast. The upcoming January tapings are the last under his current contract, and there has been some speculation among fans that Galloway might jump ship back to WWE, where he was known as Drew McIntyre.

Not so fast, said Galloway.

“We are talking and trying to figure things out,” Galloway said of his negotiations with TNA. “I’d be lying if I said that there weren’t some offers there that I really have to think about. I have to consider my future and my family’s future. I am only 31, but [his recent injury] obviously gave me a little fright.”

Back in September, Galloway suffered a neck injury during a match. The feeling at the time was that he was very lucky that it wasn't more serious. He had to miss a lot of time in the fall waiting to be cleared to wrestle.

Hypothetically, if Galloway were to leave TNA, might he return to WWE? Has he spoken to Triple H about a possible NXT run? If so, Galloway's not letting on.

“I can’t say anybody I’m talking to,” he said with a wry laugh. “Every company including TNA has done so much for me… we just have to speak and work things out so that it works out for everybody. I have spoken to some people but there’s only so much you can speak about when you’re under contract with certain people. I can’t go into details beyond that. I hope things work out the way I’m wanting them to work out.”

TNA tapes at Universal Studios January 5-8 and 10-12.
