Drew McIntyre wishes Cody Rhodes a happy holidays ahead of their rematch for the WWE title.

Drew McIntyre wishes Cody Rhodes a happy holidays ahead of their rematch for the WWE title.

McIntyre and Rhodes’ rivalry has been ongoing for several months ago, and on the December 19th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, it would be announced that the pair will meet one more time for the WWE Championship, with McIntyre making several demands regarding the potential bout.

While speaking in a digital exclusive on WWE’s YouTube channel, Drew McIntyre spoke about his rivalry with Cody Rhodes.

“Cody, Cody, Cody. You’re such a smug bastard, aren’t you? You tell half truths and lies up and down, but I’ll go into those next time I’m face to face with you. You attacked me in the parking lot a couple of weeks ago, and all I was trying to do was come to work, do my job, and you have the audacity to attack me on my property? You claim to be a company man, the company man, and as a company man, do you show up to people’s houses and attack an innocent civilian? No, you’ve lost it, Cody. You’re an animal, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I’m protecting these fans from seeing you rapidly descend into madness and mess this whole thing up for everyone. But soon, you won’t have the upper hand. I will. You’ve admitted I’m the first person who’s broken you. Everyone sees it. Everyone sees that you’re not the QB1 anymore. You’re gonna be riding the bench as soon as a new captain emerges. You’re out of control. You’re not good for that championship. You’re not fit for the job, but I am. You escaped as champion last time we faced off because of an inept official. You think I was just gonna forget about that? No, man, I’ll be in Grand Rapids next week. You’ve got a week to think about the rest of your life, Cody. If you lay your hands on me, it’s all over. The title’s mine. Regardless, once you and I face each other in that ring, the title is gonna be mine anyway. So I hope you have a happy holidays, Cody, you and your family,  it will be your last as WWE champion.”

McIntyre is currently scheduled to return to SmackDown on next week’s show. You can read more about that here.
