Drew McIntyre: I've Always Been Part Of Groups, Now I'm The First Champion With Fresh Feuds

Drew McIntyre has typically had a running mate since he's been back in WWE. He joined the main roster alongside Dolph Ziggler (the duo later added Braun Strowman), went into a team with Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley, and then ran alongside Shane McMahon.

Finally, Drew broke out on his own, leading to him winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania 36.

And now that he's champion, because he's always been in a group, he feels he has fresh feuds in front of him.

"I want everything to be real and good from a story perspective," said McIntyre on Chasing Glory when discussing his feud with Seth Rollins. "I was in groups for so long. When I was frustrated, I was like, 'I keep going from group to group to group.' Dolph and I, that was cool. Then it was me, Corbin and Lashley for some reason, we called ourselves the Buddies of Bedlam and we'd lose to The Shield all the time. Then I was with Shane, which is cool, because I learned a lot. But it was always groups that I was part of. Things work out the way they work out. Inevitably, when I won the title, I was talking to one of the writers and he pointed out, 'You can feud with anyone, you've always been part of groups.' I'm the first champion that has fresh feuds with everybody"

McIntyre said he's looking forward to his feud with Rollins as he believes the two will have great matches against each other. The feud between the two kicked off last Monday when Rollins hit The Stomp on McIntyre following the latter's victory over Andrade.
