Drew McIntyre: I Want To Face CM Punk, But He’s Made Of Glass, I’m Worried About Him

Drew McIntyre wants a match with CM Punk at SummerSlam.

At the 2024 Royal Rumble, during the men's Rumble match, Drew McIntyre hit CM Punk with a Future Shock DDT. However, in the process, Punk would tear his triceps, taking him out of WrestleMania. Despite the injury, Pun would ultimately eliminate McIntyre, with The Scottish Warrior attacking Punk on the RAW after the Rumble. Since then, McIntyre has been routinely trolling Punk, both on television and on social media.

While speaking to The Gorilla Position in a recent interview, McIntyre was asked if he wanted to face Punk at SummerSlam later this year.

"Yeah, I just hope he’s careful. I’m just worried he’s going to injure something else in rehab. The man is made of glass. I want that match. I really want that match. I’m just concerned for him, especially wrestling somebody like me, I’m a monster in there."

McIntyre was then asked if he was desperate for the match with Punk, admitting that he is desperate to get in the ring with the former WWE champion.

"Yeah, I want that match. When I got my hands on him, you saw what I did to him at Rumble. I tore him to pieces. I chopped him to bits. Everyone is like Gunther is known for his chops because they’re violent is hell. I think mine go under the radar a little bit. Put our chops side by side, I assure you, mine are even more violent. Punk was black and blue. I ended up hurting him in there."

CM Punk is scheduled to appear on the March 25th edition of Monday Night RAW. You can read more about that here.

McIntyre recently quoted Punk in a tweet about Seth Rollins. You can read more about that here.
