Drew McIntyre Jokes That Vince McMahon Would Threaten To Murder Agents Trying To Cast Him

Drew McIntyre has been blowing up in Hollywood over the past year, working on films with Russell Crowe and Henry Cavill that are set for upcoming releases.
With Nick Khan and Triple H leading things, WWE superstars can now take on more outside projects, which were far more limited when Vince McMahon was at the helm.
“Vince was very much like, ‘I need you here.’ To be fair, we had so many live events back in the day. My entire life, up until the past few years was wrestling wrestling every single week, 52 weeks a year, three times a week, minimum. We needed people who were bigger stars to advertise on the live events to sell those tickets. I get it, but there were some big opportunities. I won’t say some names, but the biggest names of all and the biggest names of all time, Vince called and threatened to murder agents trying to get me into projects. [Laughs] He was very much in this mindset. Nick and Paul are in the mindset that if it makes sense and helps everybody, and helps my brand, which helps their brand. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon,” said Drew on Busted Open Radio.
McIntyre has been off WWE television since WrestleMania 42.
While he was filming in Spain, he continued his in-ring training. Fans can learn more here.
