Drew McIntyre On Killing Erick Rowan's Spider: If It Doesn't Belong On My Raw, It Gets Nixed

Coming out of Monday's WWE Raw, the only question on anyone's mind was "Why did Drew McIntyre allegedly murder Erick Rowan's pet spider?"

Speaking in an interview backstage, McIntyre explained his actions.

"Last week, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar walked out there and Paul proceeded to run me down. What's different about that, and what Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar usually do is, Paul builds up the opponent and says such positive things and Brock crushes them. The difference is, he tried to put me down and I saw right through them. You know why? Paul is worried. He should be worried. He knows he's about to lose his meal ticket. Then I proved all the doubters wrong, especially Brock Lesnar, when I dropped him a few times in a row. Regarding tonight, it was a message. Erick Rowan, giant guy, dropped him. Regarding the cage situation, let's just say, when Drew McIntyre becomes WWE Champion, things are going to change around here. Number one, I'll actually be at the shows with the title. Number two, if it doesn't belong on my Raw, it gets nixed," he stated.

WWE social media seemed to confirm that Rowan's spider was in the cage, though there was no evidence of the spider being killed. McIntyre is set to challenge Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 for the WWE Title.
