Drew McIntyre: My Dream Scenario Is Beating Roman Reigns For The Title At WWE Clash At The Castle

Drew McIntyre wants to finally win a WWE World Title in front of an actual crowd but, he says he is willing to wait until he's inside Principality Stadium to do so.

Drew McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion. One of those victories was even in the main event of WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar. However, because both of these victories came in 2020, Drew McIntyre has yet to win a WWE World Championship in front of a live crowd.

One of his goals, when he was WWE Champion, was to bring a major stadium pay-per-view back to the United Kingdom. Well, that is happening this September as WWE presents Clash at the Castle from Principality Stadium in Wales speaking with Sports Illustrated, Drew McIntyre shows his dream scenario is to defeat Roman Reigns at that event to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

“I’m a two-time WWE champion, but I never won the title in front of our fans,” McIntyre says. “My dream situation is fighting for the title against Roman at the UK show. There is going to be such intense anticipation for that event. That would be a match, atmosphere-wise, that people would always remember.”

Drew McIntyre may end up facing Tyson Fury at that event if Fury has his way. Tyson recently proclaimed that he wants to be part of the upcoming show from Wales and he's even looking to attend SummerSlam in order to make it happen.

Drew McIntyre admits that Tyson Fury is a great entertainer, but if he steps in the ring with “The Scottish Warrior” he will be in for something he's never experienced before.

“If Tyson Fury steps back into the WWE ring, it’s not going to be as easy as he thinks,” McIntyre says. “He showed last time in his match against Braun that he’s capable. No doubt, he’s an entertainer. But if he steps into the ring against me, he’s in for something he’s never experienced before.”

Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns will be across the ring from one another this week in the main event of WrestleMania Backlash. It will be Drew, Randy Orton, and Matt Riddle against Roman Reigns and The Usos, The Bloodline. Learn more here.
