Drew McIntyre Thinks WrestleMania Backlash Could Be His Last Opportunity At The WWE Championship

Drew McIntyre believes that WrestleMania Backlash could be his final WWE Championship opportunity.

Drew McIntyre has defined the WWE Championship picture for the last year and a half. Originally capturing the belt at WrestleMania 36 from Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre would also lose the belt to Randy Orton and captured it back before Survivor Series before losing it again to The Miz at Elimination Chamber 2021.

Now, speaking to Rick Ucchino and Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda, McIntyre stated his Triple Threat at Backlash could be his last chance.

"More than likely. You know it's a big match. I was in there with Lashley, been in there a couple of times with him. He's physical, like the way I wrestle, the way Sheamus wrestles, and the way Braun wrestles. I'm really excited about the three of us getting together. I know we are gonna put on a spectacle. It's gonna be a heck of a match and if Drew McIntyre isn't able to pull off the big one and regain my title, maybe it's another moment. So, I hope I pull off the big one, but if the worst is to happen, it's not gonna deter me in any way," said McIntyre.

Fightful will have live coverage of WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
