Dulce García is has undergone emergency surgery.
PWInsider has reported that García, the former Lucha Libre AAA World Wide and Lucha Underground wrestler known for portraying Sexy Star, was hospitalized in Guatemala last night after suffering appendicitis.
Dulce was scheduled to perform for Robles Promotions but after experiencing severe abdominal pain was taken to the hospital. They note that she will remain there for multiple weeks while recovering from the operation.
Wrestling fans will remember Sexy Star for her actions at TripleMania XXV, where she purposely popped Rosemary's arm out of its joint. Since defending the Reina de Reinas Title on August 26, 2017, García has not worked for AAA.
On Saturday, May 1 at Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's Rey de Reyes event they introduced a rebooted version of the character portrayed by Hija de Gatubela.
