Dutch Mantel On Jerry Lawler Wanting To Wrestle Again: What If He Dies In The Ring?

Dutch Mantel took to his YouTube channel to discuss a viral quote from Jerry Lawler where the WWE Hall of Famer said he wanted to have one final match.

“I’m interested in this match, I really am,” Mantel said. “To see who his opponent would be, would it be a tag team, would it be a singles, I’m pretty sure he would have to have a tag team match like [Ric] Flair did.”

Mantel continued, “I don’t think he’s in any kind of shape to have a singles match but I would be very interested in seeing it. But then you have an issue that has to be looked at, what if he dies in the ring? Which is possible… I think that would be a very appropriate place for him to go. Which is really sad, but then it’s not sad if you think about it. He would enter another form of the stratosphere called history. I mean he would always be remembered as dying in the ring.”

Jerry Lawler, with all of his health issues, is certainly in no place to be wrestling any longer. At 76-years-old, this would have disaster written all over it, as Mantel expressed by laying out the worst possible outcome.
