In recent years DC Comics have turned the character of Black Adam into an anti-hero on a crusade to clear his name and reputation, but it remains unknown if the film will adopt that narrative or lean into his super-villainous origins.

Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise, Orphan, The Shallows) and also stars Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, and Sarah Shahi as Isis.

The film is set to be released on July 29, 2022.
