Billy Gunn is New Japan Pro Wrestling bound.

Japanese wrestling journalist Enuhito announced that former WWE Intercontinental, Hardcore and Tag Team Champion Billy Gunn will be appearing for NJPW this fall and winter. Gunn will appear as as member of Hunter Club, specifically as Yoshi Tatsu's tag team partner in the NJPW World Tag League.

Fightful.com was told in August that New Japan Pro Wrestling had reached out to Gunn for the spot. Gunn later appeared on Sean Waltman's podcast and confirmed that he'd been courted by the promotion for the tournament.

"Let's just put it this way. I am in talks with New Japan. They have this big tag tournament every year, from the middle of November to the middle of December. So they called me and asked if I would like to do it, and of course I jumped at it because there's not a lot of stuff that I haven't done in 27 years of working in this industry, most of them in WWE," Gunn said.

Fightful.com will have coverage of the NJPW Tag League tournament, featuring Gunn.
