EC3 Says He Stopped Watching Wrestling For Years Because He Was Unhappy With His Career

For years, EC3 was dissatisfied with how his career was progressing.

Barely seen on television in the later stages of his latest run with WWE, EC3 wasn't exactly in a prominent position. After he was released by WWE months ago, EC3 returned to IMPACT Wrestling, appearing in various vignettes and targeting Moose and the TNA World Heavyweight Title. Speaking with Metro, EC3 admitted that the last few years have been rough as he had started to treat wrestling as just a job and not something to be extremely passionate about.

"I would say 100% [I stopped watching wrestling] because of the past few years. ‘I was so unhappy with it that I had to disconnect myself from it – OK this is a job. This isn’t passion, this isn’t love – a lot of people hate their jobs, and it sucks, it’s really hard to do. I hadn’t watched stuff I loved from the past for a long time, but I noticed when I’m thriving off the passion and emotion of what I’m doing, I’m more engaged with studying things from the past and reviewing why I chose to sacrifice so much to come this far," EC3 said.

EC3 also spoke to Fightful back in July and you can check out that interview here as well as a written feature from that interview at this link.
