Eddie Kingston: AJ Gray Forgot Where I Come From, Nothing Has Changed But The Zeros On The Check

Eddie Kingston is ready for AJ Gray.

On January 8, AJ Gray took to social media to call out Eddie Kingston for a match at Hammerstein Ballroom on January 23. Kingston has been announced for the event, but no opponent has been given.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Kingston responded to Gray's challenge.

"It doesn't bother me at all," stated Kingston. "I know AJ and know what AJ is trying to do. He's trying to come up in the game and call me out, that's fine. I know AJ, I like AJ. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to beat him up. If he wants to go, we'll go. I just have to check with how everything is going down with AEW. AEW is open to me working with anybody, we just gotta make sure. If AJ wants to go, that's fine. I think AJ forgot where I come from. He also forgets that nothing has changed but the zeros on the check, my man. I think he forgets where he first met me from. He met me smacking people in the face. He forgets that. That Second Gear crew, he forgets that I started it with Mance Warner and (Matthew) Justice. We were the original three. Guess what AJ, you're welcome. If I had my way, if everything is good, I have to get medically cleared and all that good stuff, if everything is good, I'll be there at Hammerstein. I'll be there and I'll smack the shit out of AJ. I'm the wrong one to call out because I'm still the same guy. Money don't change me."

As of now, the match between AJ Gray and Eddie Kingston has not been made official.
