Eddie Kingston Keeps Dropping Hints To Tony Khan To Bring AEW To Nippon Budokan

AEW went international in August, bringing AEW All In to Wembley Stadium in London, England. AEW will return to England in 2024, but it is unknown if they have other international travel plans.

The company is partners with NJPW, and Eddie Kingston not only competed in the NJPW G1 Climax, but he is also the NJPW Strong Openweight Champion.

Speaking during an AdFreeShows Q&A, Kingston was asked if there was a place he wanted to wrestle.

"Nippon Budokan is the place I want to wrestle at. I've been trying to drop hints to Tony [Tony Khan], but I don't think that will ever work. 'Tony, you know, maybe you run Sumo Hall and the next night, you run Nippon Budokan.' He's always like, 'uh huh.' He hears this every fucking Wednesday and when I'm there Saturdays, he hears it Saturday. 'Yeah, yeah, whatever you want.' I know what it is, I know, but if I don't throw it out in the universe, no one else will," said Kingston.

It is unknown when Kingston will return to Japan. He will return to NJPW for NJPW Royal Quest III when he teams with Michael Oku & Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Elsewhere during the interview, Kingston revealed he signed a new four-year deal with AEW. Fans can find his full comments by clicking here.
