“You always hear, ‘You always need the fundamentals.’ Yeah, and I'll drop a name. He’ll probably never remember this. A little story, I got kicked out of my first wrestling school. Surprise. Me and my old partner Blackjack Monsanto, and a bunch of other friends, Jigsaw, and a couple of other guys. We were so desperate to keep learning that we got our money together, we rented a ring, and paid for Ted DiBiase to come and teach us. [We paid for] a flight, a shitty hotel, all this stuff. The best advice he ever gave us was, ‘The fundamentals never change. You need them no matter what.’ So for us in the ring, it's not just the technique that's the fundamentals. It's also for the people to understand what's good, what's bad. It's really not that deep of a story. Even if you have two good guys in there, one of them has a little bit of an edge," he said.

Kingston is currently embroiled in a storyline with Chris Jericho. After defeating Jericho at Revolution, Kingston was attacked by the "Sports Entertainer" the following Wednesday as he unveiled his new faction, the Jericho Appreciation Society.
