Eddie Kingston Retains The ROH World Title With Help From Ortiz At AEW Full Gear 2023

Eddie Kingston bests Jay Lethal with help from Ortiz to neutralize Jeff Jarrett and company.

Eddie Kingston kicked off the action at AEW Full Gear 2023 against Jay Lethal and got some help from an old friend.

Stokely Hathaway, a member of the ROH board, provided commentary. Jeff Jarrett and company tried to get involved at ringside. Lethal tried to use Jarrett's guitar against Kingston, but Ortiz balanced out the interference by using the guitar on Sonjay Dutt. Kingston then scored the win by hitting Lethal with a half and-half suplex followed by a Spinning Backfist.

Post-match Eddie Kingston called Stokely a little bald-headed bitch.
