At WrestleMania 36, Edge will return to the ring for his first singles match since WrestleMania 27. On Monday's Raw, Edge officially challenged Randy Orton to a Last Man Standing bout at WrestleMania.
The difference between this year's WrestleMania and any other WrestleMania is the fact that this year's show will take place inside the WWE Performance Center with no live audience. While it's going to be different, Edge is excited about the possibilities.
"It's never been done before, right? There's been the empty arena match with Mick [Foley] and Rock, but nothing like this. WrestleMania in an empty Performance Center. It hasn't been done. It's not ideal, we all get it. We have to make due, we have to figure out, we have to adapt. That's what this whole thing will be. I feel confident because I know in Randy, I have one of the best ever or possibly -- it's all subjective -- the best to ever do this. You get my brain and his natural ability on this thing, and I'm excited. I'm excited on what we can do and bring to the audience. All bets are off. There are no rules. It's an entirely blank canvas," Edge told The Gorilla Position.
According to Edge's wife Beth Phoenix, "The Rated R Superstar" drove 17 hours to make it to Raw at the Performance Center to deliver his promo. Orton is set to be part of next Monday's WWE Raw.
