El Grande Americano Helps Dominik Mysterio Retain Intercontinental Championship On WWE Raw
Dominik Mysterio pulls out another victory on Monday’s episode Raw.
On the September 1 edition of WWE Raw, AJ Styles got another crack at Dominik Mysterio, challenging him for the Intercontinental Championship once again. This match came after ‘Dirty Dom’ cheated during their first match at SummerSlam, smashing Styles with his own boot to pick up the pinfall victory.
In the end, Mysterio was able to pick up another victory over Styles — this time with outside help. The ‘Phenomenal One’ was setting up for his signature springboard forearm when El Grande Americano pulled him off the apron.
Americano proceeded to crack Styles with a headbutt. Mysterio took advantage of the moment, pulling Styles in the ring and crushing him with a frog splash for the win.

With the victory, Mysterio’s reign with the Intercontinental title currently sits at the 134 day mark. In addition to Styles, ‘Dirty Dom’ has defended the belt against top names like Penta, Octagon Jr, R-Truth, and even his ally, El Grande Americano.
