Eli Isom Discusses Advice He's Gotten From ROH Veterans And Advice He Would Give Wrestlers

Eli Isom might be relatively new to the sport, but he's already become a staple in ROH and has stepped into the ring with veterans like Bully Ray, PJ Black, PCO, RUSH, and more.

Speaking to Omar M.A. from Playard Wrestling, Eli discussed working with veterans in ROH and advice they've given him.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

"It can be a little nerve-racking. You grow up watching these guys and now you have the chance to work with them. It’s a crazy and very cool situation to be in. The two things I’ve noticed that almost every veteran says is to not be nervous and to make everything you do count. It’s very simple advice but it’s helped me so much so far," he said.

When asked to give any advice to up-and-coming wrestlers, Eli said, "I’d say don’t be afraid to take a chance on yourself. If you really want it don’t let yourself stop you from doing it, because at the end of the day you can only control what you do. It’s not easy, but very few things in life are, so work hard, be humble, and be smart with your money. That would be my advice. Thankfully when I first started I saved enough from my previous job to where it wasn’t so bad, but I’ve also seen the flip side of that. Just gotta be smart and save your money to invest in yourself for wrestling."

Elsewhere during the interview, Eli discussed anime, working with Cheeseburger, and more. You can check out the full interview by clicking here.
