August 9, 2021 may go down in WWE history as the day the music died.
Elias has made his entire main roster career playing guitar and interacting with the audience whether it was as a babyface or a heel. Now, he says that “Elias is dead.”
Before the main roster, Elias spent a brief amount of time in NXT as “The Drifter.” However, his run on the main roster would see him capture the WWE 24/7 Championship, interact with Jeff Jarrett in the Royal Rumble, and just this year at WrestleMania, he would attempt to help Shane McMahon.
Following a loss to his former partner Jaxson Ryker in a Symphony of Destruction Match, Elias would resurface on the August 9, 2021 episode of Monday Night Raw in a vignette where he would burn his signature guitar and say that WWE no longer stands for “Walk With Elias” because “Elias is dead.”
