Elias hopes to have a major championship match at WrestleMania 39.
In the past, Elias has been fortunate enough to share WrestleMania moments with the likes of John Cena and was even able to defeat Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 36, inside an empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. However, Elias has yet to have a major WrestleMania match in front of an audience
Recently, Elias was a guest on WWE Die Woche. During that interview, Elias was asked who he would like to fight at WrestleMania. Among obvious dream opponents like John Cena and The Undertaker, Elias singled out WWE Intercontinental Champion, GUNTHER, noting that he would like to have a major championship match at WrestleMania. Elias is also open to the idea of competing against the United States champion, whomever it may be after the Elimination Chamber Match on Saturday, February 18.
"Listen, I could throw it out there a million different ways. It would all depend on the story we get to tell," said Elias. "Guys like the Undertaker, John Cena there's two of the guys. I mean, you mentioned I've had my WrestleMania interactions with them. I'd love for it to play out in some sort of big-time matchup on the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMania.
"The here and now I'm trying to think of who is even in the running," he continued. "GUNTHER, with the Intercontinental Championship. To have a big championship match at WrestleMania would be awesome. Austin Theory and Seth Rollins, whoever comes out on top there. Any sort of championship match."
