The Young Bucks got thumbtacks in some sensitive places.
On the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, Hangman Page, and Kota Ibushi) defeated Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta), Konosuke Takeshita, and PAC in a Blood & Guts Match. During the bout, the competitors used various weapons on each other, including thumbtacks and a bed of nails.
Speaking on the latest edition of Being The Elite, The Elite licked their wounds after the victory. Omega picked thumbtacks out of Ibushi's back and joked that he was getting too old for this. The camera showed his mangled back, and Matt Jackson noted that they have been in a lot of hardcore matches lately. Omega responded by jokingly questioning whether they're into "garbage wrestling" now.
Kenny Omega: I’m getting too old for this shit. Maybe never again, I don’t know. At least give it a couple months.
Matt Jackson: We’ve been in a lot of hardcore matches lately.
KO: Yeah, what’s wrong with us? Are we into garbage wrestling now? I thought we were comedy wrestlers, not garbage wrestlers.
MJ: I think I need to go back to the tag division just so I can have wrestling matches again.
KO: I think I should go do super long and difficult singles matches.
Matt later stated that he hates Blood and Guts, and he called it the day of his life. He then caught up with his brother, Nick, and asked him how he was doing. Both men revealed that they got thumbtacks in some sensitive places.
MJ: I’m sore, I’m grumpy, I’m jet lagged. I have thumbtacks up my ass. I am ready to get a bite to eat. How are you?
Nick Jackson: I had a thumbtack in my weiner.
MJ: Inside your actual weiner? What is the hole, the urethra? Is that what it’s called?
NJ: It hurt so bad.
MJ: I bet because of that, though, you’re probably kind of hungry.
NJ: Yeah, the thumb tack made me very hungry.
After the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air, Omega told Blackpool Combat Club that The Golden Elite respected them, and the two groups shook hands. More information is available here.
