Emi Sakura Announces Upcoming Return To AEW

Emi Sakura is headed back to AEW.

Sakura took to social media to announce that she's booked a one-way ticket to America and told the AEW women's division to be ready, specifically signalling out AEW Women's Champion Britt Baker.

Sakura wrote, "I decided to go to America with a one-way ticket. Please look forward to what happens to #ChocoPro from now on. We are, ChocoPro & we like a challenge. Now #AEW Women Division, you better be ready, Emi Sakura’s looking at the top & @RealBrittBaker looks very interesting."

Sakura last competed for AEW in February, taking part in the AEW Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament. She lost in the semifinals to Yuka Sakazaki. She competed in a six-woman tag team on a AEW Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament YouTube special, which aired on February 28.

She returned to Japan following the tournament where she's been active for Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling.

It is unknown when Sakura will make her official AEW return.
