Enzo Amore (Real1) Says He Reached Out To AEW, They Had No Interest

Enzo Amore (Real1) has bounced around the independent scene since being released by WWE in 2018 following sexual assault allegations. The investigation ceased in 2018 due to insufficient evidence.
Amore is active in 4th Rope Wrestling, where he is the reigning 4th Rope Flyweight Champion.
Speaking to TJ Henderson & O’Shea Jackson Jr on No Contest Wrestling, Enzo was asked about his current status.
He began by saying that WWE was the only option for him, and he was never a person who wanted to go to WCW.
“AEW was something that I considered. I reached out. They had no interest. I’m at a point where, if it’s fuck me, it’s fuck you. What do I care? What are you going to do, cancel me? What do I care? I have nothing to lose, bro. I’ve already lost everything. I’ve been dragged through the mud. When you’re treated like dirt, they stick like mud. You treat me a certain way, I’ll treat you back. I don’t have any gripe with the business because I’m in such a good place. I’m solid right now,” he stated.
Enzo praised 4th Rope, calling it a cross between wrestling, hip-hop, and fashion.
Big Bill, Enzo’s tag team partner in WWE, is currently signed to AEW.
