Eric Bischoff Says He Will Not Be At WWE Extreme Rules, Talks His Mindset Going Into His New Position

Eric Bischoff does a Q&A about his new position in WWE.

The wrestling world awoke to the news on the morning of June 27th that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were appointed the roles of Executive Directors of Monday Night RAW and SmackDown, respectively. It has been reported on various fronts that Paul Heyman is in the midst of his role and has began his duties to a certain extent. Eric Bischoff is currently traveling to Stamford, Connecticut with his family to complete their move near WWE's headquarters.

Bischoff participated in a fan Q&A that was hosted by Christy Olson and during the Q&A, Bischoff stated that he will not be present at this Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Philadelphia.

"No, I’ll be driving on Sunday. It’s going to take me five days, it’s like 2000 miles and I’ve got a couple stops I want to make [that'll make it] a longer wait. So I’ll probably be stuck on the Ohio Turnpike on Sunday." He said.

Bischoff was also asked if he's seeking career redemption with his new role in WWE and he responded by saying that his goal is to figure out a way to exceed everyone's expectations.

"What can I do to meet and exceed everybody’s expectations? That’s really the way I look at it. I’m really not looking at it within the context of anything else that’s ever happened before." He said.
