Eric Young returned to IMPACT Wrestling at Slammiversary. Deaner was believed to have 'murdered' Eric Young the last time fans saw him. However, EY eventually returned and proclaimed himself to be an unkillable idea.
Now, Deaner has challenged the former leader of The Design to a No Disqualification bout at IMPACT Emergence 2023.
The match was confirmed on the August 24 episode of IMPACT.
