ESPN Releases WrestleMania 28-Inspired Graphic For New York Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game

ESPN lights up social media with a bit of corporate synergy.
On Wednesday, October 22, ESPN promoted the highly anticipated NBA game between the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers by releasing a WrestleMania 28-inspired graphic that features Jalen Brunson (Knicks) and Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers).
The graphic specifically takes inspiration from the John Cena vs. The Rock graphic that has become a bit of a meme in recent years.

The match between Cena and Rock was promoted as ‘Once In A Lifetime’. That will not be the case for the Knicks and the Cavs, as they will face each other at least two other times this season. To the surprise of nobody, Cena and Rock also faced off the very next year at WrestleMania 29.
The partnership between WWE and ESPN began back in September, as the service hosted the company’s Wrestlepalooza event. ESPN will now be home to WWE premium live events for at least the next five years.
