Ethan Page Says He Was 'Spoken To' When AEW First Started

Ethan Page became the hottest free agent on the market at the beginning of the year when his contract with IMPACT Wrestling expired.

Ethan ended up signing with AEW, making his debut in the Face of the Revolution ladder match at AEW Revolution.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Page revealed he was in contact with AEW when the company first started in 2019, but talks couldn't advance due to his contract with IMPACT Wrestling.

"There was definitely interest, but at the time I was under contract with IMPACT, so it was not really a possibility. Yes, I was 'spoken to' to see what my situation was. Personally, I'm very glad with the way everything played out and getting to have those years with IMPACT Wrestling. It was an experience that I needed to grow personally and professionally. To get those reps in to be comfortable in the ring and on television. It made me a better performer in the end and AEW will benefit from that now," said Page.

Though Page was not victorious in the Face of the Revolution ladder match, he has picked up singles victories over Lee Johnson, Five, and Fuego Del Sol.

In a recent Q&A vlog, Page explained why he chose to sign with AEW over WWE. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
