Evan Husney Talks Vice’s Support For Dark Side Of The Ring, Feedback On Specific Episodes

Evan Husney comments on which Dark Side of the Ring episodes Vice liked the most.

Dark Side of the Ring returned on July 7 with its seventh season. The first episode covered Jeff Jarrett and TNA Wrestling, which fans can watch on Vice TV.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Evan Husney was asked if Vice gave them any feedback about any particular episode in the show’s seven-year history.

“Vice has always been incredibly supportive of the show. I mean, clearly going into this again. Again, I remember having conversations and being like, ‘We’re never gonna get a season three or even a season two.’ I just thought it seemed too impossible at the time. So they’ve been very supportive, which is great, and we’ve been able to make this our job. Next year is 10 years for us that’ll be working on this show, which is just crazy. But I don’t know that I think in terms of feedback specifically, I know that the Owen Hart episode, season two finale was the highest rated show they’d ever done. I think it still is the highest rated single hour of TV they’ve had. That was a big moment. I think the Chris Benoit two part premiere for season two was the biggest premiere they’ve ever had. Then Owen Hart beat that. I think at that point, ‘cause I think it cracked into the top 20 cable for that night, and that was something that they hadn’t done yet, and that was, amazing that we were able to do that. So it was very cool.”
