EVIL To Defend NEVER Openweight Championship Against Aaron Wolf At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20
Stakes added to Aaron Wolf’s debut.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling signee and Olympic gold medalist Aaron Wolf is scheduled to make his in-ring debut at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4th, 2026.
His run-ins with NEVER Openweight Champion EVIL at NJPW events led to it being made official that his first opponent will be EVIL.
The two were present at the Wrestle Kingdom 20 press conference. While speaking about their upcoming bout, EVIL suggested the idea of putting the NEVER Openweight Title on the line. Wolf said he’s still in training, so he cannot say anything about it being a title match.
EVIL said the choice has nothing to do with the company, and he said it’ll be a title match, so it’s happening.
Wolf: I’m still a trainee, so I can’t say anything about this being a title match. I’ll leave it to the company to decide.
