On the August 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk called out Hangman Page and offered him his rematch for the AEW World Title. Punk defeated Page at AEW Double or Nothing to win the title and when Hangman didn't appear, Punk said that was "coward shit."
The challenge was reportedly not planned and no one knew about it.
Hangman Page was in the arena and the call-out was reference on the subsequent episode of Being The Elite with Hangman training Dark Order backstage as a producer tried to tell him of Punk's challenge.
Speaking to Headlock at Gamescom, Evil Uno was asked about Punk calling out Page.
"Truthfully, we were in the middle of training when this happened. I would say everything you hear is probably just hearsay, to be honest. Who knows. From my side, I think there is nothing, but who knows. That's the beauty of wrestling, you never really know," he said.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated ahead of AEW Dynamite, Punk said he was trying to tell stories and sell tickets. Punk's challenge to Hangman was not addressed on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite as Punk lost to Jon Moxley in an AEW World Title unification match.
Asked about the current state of the Dark Order, Uno said, "I'm very happy. We're one of the few things that have been there since day one. To think we were there in 2019 and we're still around, kicking strong in 2022 is something I'm very very happy about. I'm very very proud of every member. Some members have left and some members have gone on to do different things, but everyone within the original group is doing well, wherever they are and I'm very happy about that."
Alan Angels and Stu Grayson have departed AEW while Anna Jay is now part of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Dark Order will be in action on Friday's AEW Rampage as part of the AEW Trios Titles Tournament.
