With Joey Janela sidelined for the foreseeable future, the WWN Title needs a new holder.
Through WWN Alerts, EVOLVE announced that AR Fox, Austin Theory, JD Drake, Anthony Henry, Harlem Bravado, and the winner of Darby Allin vs. Josh Briggs will compete in a ladder match at EVOLVE 114 to crown a new WWN Champion.
The Allin vs. Briggs bout will take place earlier in the night with the winner moving on to compete in the ladder match.
EVOLVE originally announced that an eight-man tournament would take place to determine a new champion.
Also announced for the the show is an open challenge by EVOLVE Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson & Jaka. Montez Ford of the Street Profits took to social media to hint that the Street Profits might be the team to answer the challenge. NXT talent have been part of EVOLVE shows in the past, but only for the live crowd.
EVOLVE 114 takes place on Oct. 28 from Ybor City, Florida. Fightful will provide full results following the conclusion of the show.
