EXCLUSIVE: Hurricane Helms Talks Impact Wrestling Sharing Talent With NOAH

Shane Helms is excited to see international talent work with Impact Wrestling's roster.

On Tuesday, it was announced Impact Wrestling would be starting a relationship with Pro Wrestling NOAH soon. On the weekly Fightful Wrestling podcast with Helms, he was asked about his opinion on the new partnership with the Japanese promotion. Helms who has roles on screen and backstage with Impact said he had wanted to work with more promotions from day one.

"I think that's great, I think it's very important to have relationships with other companies. It's something I pushed for my very first meeting with (Impact) creative. I've had ideas of using other companies,You know we are really stuck in this mindset that every company has to be just their own guys on the show. We are really stuck in that, we've built this wall around ourselves. I had this idea: what if there's a wrestling show that's about all of wrestling?  If you can't do the whole show like that, maybe just a segment. When I watch ESPN, I don't watch it for just one sport and even if it was about one sport, I wouldn't watch it for just one team," said Helms. "Especially with how the internet opened everyone's eyes to all the different talents all over the world, we really don't have to be handcuffed," Helms added.

Both Impact and NOAH are under new ownership. It is expected for some of Impact's roster to appear at a NOAH show on March 12th.

Shane Helm's podcast with Fightful host Sean Ross Sapp airs each Friday for members. Membership to Fightful.com is completely free.
